About the Artist

Alison

Alison has lived and worked in Aberdeenshire all her life.  As a student, she was one of the first

women to graduate, as an architect, from Gray’s School of Art.

After working as an architect for 25 years, circumstances dictated a change of direction so painting

became the new focus, and teaching to adults which is very rewarding and enjoyable. She is an elected member of the Society of Limners (miniaturists) and has had work exhibited in Australia and the USA.

Currently she exhibits at the McEwan Gallery, Ballater and the Milton Gallery, Crathes.
