Alison was born in Aberdeen but now lives
in Aboyne, Deeside. She is a chartered
architect but decided to devote her
energies to art. With a studio set in a wild
and wooded garden on the old Deeside
railway line, flowers are given a high
priority. In addition to the regular commissions, painting for
exhibitions which are spread throughout the year can be very
demanding.
Alison is also a member of the Scottish Society for Architect Artists
and an elected member of the Society of Limners. She is a member
of Aberdeen Artists and and has participated in exhibitions in: the
R.S.A., Edinburgh; Leeds Armorial Museum; Torrance Gallery,
Edinburgh; Academia D'Architecture, Paris; McLellan Gallery,
Glasgow; Tolquhon Gallery, Tarves: McEwan Gllery, Glengairn;
Grampian Healthcare; Shell U.K., Milton Gallery, Crathes and has
had minatures exhibited in Tasmania and U.S.A.
